Dallas Cup - 03 boys not showing well

Two matchdays are in the books for the local sides at Dallas Cup XXXVII and the locals are not particularly doing well.  Only two wins to show from eight matches have the four Dallas sides in tough situations heading into their final bracket games on Wednesday.  Luckily there are three wildcard spots available as eight teams will advance to quarterfinal play from the five brackets.

Odyssey have lost both matches so far by a single goal.  Pretty disappointing for a team that had higher aspirations as they are dead and buried after only two days.  All they have to look forward to now is a Wednesday bracket finale against Club Ohio and then a friendly on Friday.

Solar Chelsea are alive and well in Bracket B with a win and a draw to open the Dallas Cup.  They face a stiff test on Wednesday as they close against a strong San Diego Surf club that should be considered to be on the shortlist of teams that could win the U13 title.  A loss to Surf and Solar will most likely be eliminated.

FC Dallas has the best chance of the four Dallas sides to advance in my opinion.  They have a win over Angeles Elite and a tight loss to Chicago Magic.  FCD closes against last placed Westside Timbers where a win would get them a wildcard place at the minimum. So win and you are in FC Dallas.

The Dallas Texans side has limped to a single point from their first two matches.  They'll close on Wednesday against the top team in the bracket in FC Golden State.  Not looking like a good Dallas Cup for the evil empire.
