FC Dallas Over Colorado 2-1

FC Dallas took control of the 1st round MLS playoff series beating Colorado 2-1 Saturday night in Denver. Despite being outshot 16-7 for the match FC Dallas was able to cash in with goals from Carlos Ruiz and the winner frm Abe Thompson. Ruiz opened the scoring in the 15th minute but Colorado answered just 8 minutes later on a goal from Terrye Cooke. FC Dallas came out of the break looking to steal the winner and 10 minutes into the 2nd half Thompson was able to drift away from the Colorado defense and slip in for an easy goal. Colorado pushed for the tying goal but could not beat goalkeeper Dario Sala of Dallas. The series now returns to Dallas on Saturday with FC Dallas only needing a draw to move to the MLS Western Conference Finals.
