Greenhill Girls - Friends Molly Mack and Ashley Rape put best foot forward
Published 2/9/2007 8:19:25 AM by David Hinojosa from Dallas, Texas
The Molly Mack-Ashley Rape combination has been successful for Greenhill the last two years. Greenhill won last year's SPC Division 1 championship when Mack connected with Rape on a corner kick in a 1-0 win against Hockaday.
Not much has changed this year. Most of Mack's 13 assists have come on goals by Rape, who leads Greenhill with 15 goals. They have helped Greenhill (11-2-1) secure the North Zone's top seed heading into Southwest Preparatory Conference Tournament, which begins Friday in Houston.
"They are in perfect sync with each other," Greenhill coach Paige Ashley said. "They are the best of friends too, and that definitely goes into the equation."
Mack, a forward, had three goals and four assists in wins against Oklahoma City Casady and FW Trinity Valley last week.
