The North Texas boys teams remain in control of the Region III Premier League West as the league winds to a close. North Texas teams continue to lead at every age. Under 14 - Solar Red sits on top here with 24 points from 7 games. Lonestars out of Austin and Andromeda are right behind them on 21 from 8 games. Norman Celtic still looks to be in the race having 17 points but from only 6 games played. Several big matches still loom ahead as Solar Red and Lonestars play this weekend. Also a Celtic - Andromeda game is scheduled for the last day of league which could have a big impact on the final standings. Under 15 - Dallas Texans Red have already wrapped up the group title with 3 games to play. They are a perfect 10-0-0 with a whopping 40-4 goal differential. Otherwise this is the only age where several North Texas teams don't sit at the top of the standings. South Texas teams occupy the next four positions in the table with Lonestars Red on 24, Texans FC of Houston on 22 and Lonestars Red WL on 21. Outside of the powerful Dallas Texans squad it is definitely a poor showing for the North Texas teams at this age. Under 16 - Dallas Texans Red look safe atop the U16 age with 32 points from 9 games. Andromeda sits 2 points back in 2nd but have only 1 game remaining to play. Houstonians look to be able to hold onto 3rd place with 3 point lead over both Solar and Border Bandits. Under 17 - There is quite a battle for the top spot in this age as both Andromeda and Dallas Texans Red are tied on 30 points with only 1 game left to play. Both also have a +26 goal differential. The two teams played to a 2-2 draw on way back in September. It looks like Andromeda has the tougher road in their final 2 premier league games having to play Solar in Dallas on Wednesday November 29th. There is also quite a fight going on for 3rd place between Solar and Houstonians. Solar sits 3 points behind but have played 1 less game. Unfortunately that extra game is Andromeda. Looks like Solar needs to get a result from the Andromeda match to be able to get over Houstonians and into 3rd. Under 18 - North Texas teams hold 3 of the top 4 spots in the age with Dallas Texans Red, Solar and DFW Tejanos. It looks to be a 3 team fight for the title with DFW Tejanos comfortably in 4th after a 2-0 win over Longhorns last night. This age will definitely go down to the wire as Dallas Texans sit on 29 from 9 games, TSC Texans of Houston have 28 from 9 and Solar have 25 from 7. TSC Texans have the easiest schedule ahead with 2 games left against lower Oklahoma teams. The big match between Dallas Texans and Solar looms next Monday and should go along way to deciding the group. View Region III Premier League West Schedules, Scores and Standings Here.
