SMU Women to Open NCAA Tournament

The SMU Women were awarded an at-large bid to the NCAA soccer championships. It is the 6th straight NCAA appearance earned by the Mustangs. SMU (16-4-1) will be facing McNeese State (10-6-2), winners of the Southland Conference Tournament, on Friday afternoon (Nov. 10) in College Station, Texas. Kick-off is set for 3:30 p.m. Immediately following the SMU-McNeese State game is Grambling State (9-6-2) vs. Texas A&M (14-5-1) set for 6:00 p.m. The winners of the two matches will meet Sunday afternoon. Friday's game will be the first-ever meeting between SMU and McNeese State. SMU holds an overall record of 8-10-1 in NCAA Tournament games.
