FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU head soccer coach Dan Abdalla announced Wednesday a list of nine student-athletes that have signed National Letters of Intent to attend TCU. The talented class will begin competition at the start the 2007 season. "I'm really excited about this group of players and have no question they will raise the bar for TCU Soccer," Abdalla said. "Not only are these players extremely talented on the field with an amazing amount of experience at the highest level, but the chemistry of this group is truly special."
The nine signees hail from five states, including California, Colorado, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas.
"The players chose TCU on what they saw as the potential to win championships, the Fort Worth area, TCU's academic excellence, the beautiful campus, our great soccer facility and the commitment our administration has made to these student-athletes," continued Abdalla. "All of those factors played a role in the addition of such a fine group of young women. The only tough part now is waiting until August to get them all here on campus."
Inking with the Horned Frogs were Chelsea Cody (Putnam City HS) and Kaylie Garcia (Putnam City North HS) of Oklahoma City, Okla., Jenna Hayes of Longmont, Colo. (Niwot HS), Tara Magdos (Sierra Vista HS) and Cheryl Martin (Spring Valley HS) of Las Vegas, Bree Marshall of Monument, Colo.
