Four North Texas sides advance at Dallas Cup XXXII

Four North Texas boys teams advanced in windy conditions on Friday at Dallas Cup XXXII.  FC Dallas 97, FC Dallas 96 and Solar 96 all earned spots in Saturday's championship matches while Solar U18 Academy advanced into the semifinals at the U19 age.

Solar 98 were throttled by a very impressive Nomads Academy from San Diego 3-0.  The Nomads will face off against Houstonians for the youngest Dallas Cup title Saturday morning.

In U14 play FC Dallas 97s earned a spot in Saturday's championship match at Pizza Hut Park with an impressive 3-0 win over Oklahoma FC.  They will have their work cut out for them Saturday though as they'll face a talented Fullerton Rangers side who throttled the Andromeda 97s also by a 3-0 score.  Fullerton has rolled through Dallas Cup so far as they have scored at least 3 goals in every match and have a ridiculous 19-2 goal differential.

The U15 Dallas Cup championship will be an all Dallas Classic League affair as FC Dallas will be facing rivals Solar 96 in what should be a battle.  Solar were the Grand Champions from Classic League, but suffered their only loss of the league season this spring to FC Dallas.  Solar won an absolute wild semifinal match in the high winds as they defeated powerful Eintracht Frankfurt from Germany 5-4.

Solar Academy crashed out of the U17 bracket as they fell to Costa Rican side Deportiva Alajuelense 3-1.  Santa Clara Sporting is the only American side to advance to the semifinals joining Alajuelense, Tigres of Mexico and Brasilis FC from Brazil.

Solar Academy is carrying the torch at the U19 age as defeated Lewisham College from England 2-1 in a quarterfinal match today.  They'll face a tough Ajax Gunners team from SoCal in tomorrow's semifinal.
