The Aledo boys fought off Birdville winning 2-1 while Mansfield Legacy defeated rivals Timberview 2-0 to advancing to the regional quarterfinals in Class 4A boys soccer playoffs.  The Aledo-Birdville matchup had been on the radar since the palyoffs opened.  The two high-powered squads were destined to meet.

Aledo 2  Birdville 1
It would be the Aledo stars that would carry the night though as Thomas Davis and Yusef Marwan would score in the 2-1 win.  Birdville knew coming in who the dangermen would be, but they were still unable to keep Davis and Marwan off the scoresheet.  Aledo led 1-0 at halftime on a first half Thomas Davis goal.  They would make it 2-0 early in the 2nd half through Yusef Marwan.  Birdville would grab one back late on from Anthony Bardon, but had their tying attempt saved with only 2 minutes to play.

Mansfield Legacy 2  Timberview 0
This was the third meeting of the season between the two district rivals.  Legacy had taken the opening two and the third would be much of the same.  Timberview looked dangerous several times, but Legacy proved they were the superior squad.  Andrew Bach would head home a long cross from Dejion Stone in the 21st minute to send Legacy on their way.  Andrew Ojeda scored the second goal and Legacy will next face Denton Guyer who advanced past Wichita Falls Rider.
