Barcelona confirms for Dallas Cup XXXII Super Group

Barcelona has been confirmed for Dallas Cup XXXII. The famed giants from Spain will be sending their U19 youth academy squad to play in the Super Group next spring. It is a huge get for Dallas Cup as interest in seeing the world renowned club will be heavy. This will be their first ever appearance at Dallas Cup.
Barca will be joining the previously confirmed London side Arsenal in the Super Group. The Arsenal youths won the English championship this fall. Also confirmed are Brazilian power Corinthians SC who were last at Dallas Cup in 2000. They won back to back Super Group titles in 1999 and 2000.
For next year, 2011, Gordon Jago said that seven of the spots had already been locked up. “Along with those three (Barcelona, Arsenal, and Corinthians) are Tigres (Mexico), Liga Deportiva Alajuelense (Costa Rica), Chorrillo FC (Panama), and Eintracht Frankfurt of Germany. Chorrillo were part of the U19 group last year, they were a very good team and won that bracket so we invited them back for the SuperGroup in 2011.”
