A pair of goals from Lisa Swilinski led the Baylor womens soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Oklahoma in Waco. The impressive win closed out the 2011 regular season for Baylor where they sported a wonderful home record of 10-1-1. Overall Baylor is 14-3-2 and 5-2-1 in Big 12 action.
In addidtion to the two goals from Lisa Swilinski, Baylor leading scorer Dana Larsen tallied. It was Larsen's 10th goal of the season. It is the most goals from a Baylor player in over a decade. Despite dominating the opening half, Baylor found themselves tied at the break. The second half was a different story as the Lady Bears broke it open. Larsen buried a header in the 58th minute and Baylor were on their way.
"This was a big win for our team," said coach Marci Jobson. "We weren't as crisp at the beginning, but we made some good adjustments at halftime and executed."
Baylor now heads to the Big 12 Conference Tournament where they will be the #3 seed. The opponent will not be known until conference play concludes next weekend.
