MLS suspends Brek Shea for three matches

When it rains, it pours. The bad results and bad news just keep piling up for FC Dallas as the 2012 MLS season slowly slips away. The latest blow is that star midfielder Brek Shea has been suspended for three matches by the MLS.
The suspension stems from an incident in last weekend's FC Dallas loss in Columbus. A frustrated Brek Shea kicked the ball at one of the assistant referees. A silly lack of discipline on a team that has been wracked with undisciplined play this season so far. Shea will serve his suspension during the next three regular-season games, according to the league.
"I know that my recent actions have let everyone down, but I will learn from this mistake," Shea wrote Thursday on Twitter. "I will use this time to get healthy and come back better than ever. Thank you for your support."
FC Dallas currently sits a distant 6th in the MLS Western Conference, but will probably fall further as they have played more matches than almost everyone in the division.
