Matchday 3 is in the books and there is only one unbeaten left in District 5-6A.  Defending 4A state champion Byron Nelson jumped to the top of the district standings with their 3-0 dismantling of Keller Tuesday night.  Elsewhere, both Keller Central and Keller Fossil Ridge bounced back from losses with solid wins.

Byron Nelson 3  Keller 0
Statement made.  Byron Nelson moved to the top of the district thanks to a 3-0 whitewashing of the Indians.

Keller Fossil Ridge 3  Denton Guyer 2
Noah Powell, DJ Trutza and Chris Dokupil netted for Fossil in a wildly entertaining affair in Keller.  Guyer scored late to cut the lead to 3-2 but were unable to find the equalizer as they suffered their first district defeat.

Keller Central 3  Northwest 0
Sean Garcia led the way with two goals and an assist as Central got back to their winning ways bashing last place Northwest.  An important home match with Denton Guyer looms Friday.

Timber Creek 1 Denton Ryan 1
A draw that really helps neither in the grand scheme of things as both teams lost ground in the District 5-6A playoff race.  It was Ryan's first result in district play at least.
