District 6-5A schools make a clean sweep

The powerful District 6-5A boys soccer teams flexed their muscle Tueday night as they swept all four bidistrict games against District 5-5A.  

Southlake Carroll had no problem taking down Trinity 3-0 with a smothering defensive effort.  Southlake goals were scored by Alfred Koroma, Cameron Brennan and Nick Petrovich.  Coach Greg Oglesby said "We were really solid on defense.  We put them under pressure."  Southlake will play South Grand Prairie next.

Coppell equally had little trouble with Keller Central winning 4-0 on the evening.  Jeremy Lind got things started for Coppell only 7 minutes into the match and they never looked back.  Other goal scorers were Collin Tuohy, Jordan Elgin and Eric Oesch.  Coppell looks to face top ranked Jesuit next.

In the most anticipated matchup between 6-5A and 5-5A Keller faced off with Flower Mound at Grapevine High School.  Flower Mound pulled the upset with a 1-0 victory knocking Keller from the playoffs.  Flower Mound will match up with Plano next.

Finally, Northwest was no match for powerful Marcus as Marcus skipped to an easy 7-1 rout.  Gino DePaoli notched a hat trick.  The win sets up a major showdown in the next round as Marcus will play Allen.
