Matchday 5 is in the books.  Colleyville Heritage notched a quality win over Southlake last night to set up the big showdown on Friday night as they'll travel to Coppell in a battle of unbeatens for District 7-6A supremacy.  It has clearly become a two team race for top dog.  Can Colllyville Heritage take down the Coppell juggernaut? Elsewhere, another Haltom win jumped them past idle Richland and into a tie with Southlake on points for third place.

We might as well call it Showdown Friday as in addition to having 1v2 in Coppell against Heritage, we also have a 3v4 matchup as Southlake hosts Haltom.  Big night that will go a long way to shaking out playoff positioning in the district.

Colleyville Heritage 2  Southlake 0
Jackson Zeledon and Pavel Picardo Salas scored to lead the Panthers to the important victory.  Next up Coppell.

Coppell 3 Trinity 0
Colton Clark opened the scoring and the Cowboys never looked back beating Trinity at Pennington Field.

Haltom 1 LD Bell 0
The Buffalos slipped past LD Bell to grab a vital three points towards a playoff berth.  They'll need to be better Friday night in Southlake though to get a result.

District 7-6A standings

Coppell     4-0-0   12   +17
Colleyville  4-0-0  12    + 9
Southlake  2-2-0    6    + 1
Haltom       2-2-0    6   - 1
Richland    1-2-1    4   - 5
LD Bell       0-3-2    2   -12
Trinity          0-4-1    1   - 9
