The biggest squads from Central America will be fighting it out this weekend at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.  MLS studs like Blas Perez, Marco Pappa and Jaime Penedo will be playing with the six nations entered.

The tournament begins Wednesday in Washington DC with a triple header before the teams come to Dallas for the second matches.  The games at the Cotton Bowl kick off at 4:00 with Costa Rica playing Panama.  The Costa Ricans will look to continue their stellar summer after a wonderful showing at the World Cup.  Panama is looking to bounce back from the disappointment of blowing their World Cup qualification in the final minutes last year.

The 6:00 match pits Guatemala against Belize.  Two of the little guys in the region will look for an important three points that could vault either into contention heading into the final group games. The nightcap features a grudge match between intense rivals Honduras and El Salvador.  Expect no mercy in this one between two sides that flat out do not like each other!

From Dallas the teams head to Houston for the final group matches.  The championship game, as well as the 3rd- and 5th-place matches, will be played September 13th in Los Angeles. The four top finishers in the tournament will earn automatic berths in the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The fifth-place finisher earns the right to participate in a two-leg playoff against the fifth-place team from the 2014 Caribbean Football Union Caribbean Cup, for a further Gold Cup berth.
