Dallas Playoff Roundup District 6-5A rolls on

District 6-5A continued to roll. After sweeping all four matches from District 5-5A in the opening round Marcus and Coppell had little trouble in rolling to easy victories. The only 6-5A squad to lose was Southlake who fell to top ranked Jesuit in a tight 2-1 match. Jesuit is going to have to deal with the other 6-5A powers before the playoffs are through. Jesuit 2, Southlake Carroll 1: It was a tight and competetive match at Lewisville's Goldsmith Stadium, Jesuit's Sewell Strifler score the winner with seven minutes remaining. Sachse 4, Tyler John Tyler O: At Garland's Homer B. Johnson Stadium, William Iraheta scored twice to lead Sachse. Donovann Castro and Tony Briceno also added goals for Sachse. FM Marcus 6, McKinney Boyd 2: At Justin Northwest, Zach Barnes, Chad Caldwell and Gino DePaoli scored two goals each for Marcus as they rolled over Boyd. Coppell 5, South Grand Prairie 1: Coppell continued to find the net. After netting four in the 2nd half against Grapevine in the opening round they found the net five more times Friday night. Steven Haltom had a hat trick to lead Coppell. Richardson 2, Tyler Lee 0: At Richardson, Alec Strull bent a corner kick and hit the back post for a 1-0 halftime lead. Will Meriwether scored from long range in the second half. Newman Smith 2 RL Turner 1: Newman Smith's Christian Valdez broke a 1-1 tie with only seven minutes to play. The goal came off a corner kick with a left-footed shot into the back post.
