The Dallas Sidekicks open the 2014 PASL playoffs on Saturday as they host Monterrey at 7:00 at the Allen Event Center.  They look for a more fruitful playoff experience this year after crashing out last year in disappointing fashion.

The good news is that the Sidekicks are a stronger squad this year for sure.  This the potential for a good run is certainly there, but difficult games await.

The Sidekicks ended the regular season tied for the top spot in the Central Divison with Hidalgo La Fiera who took the top playoff seed thanks to a win over Dallas earlier in the season by a score of 12-9.  It is quite significant as it means that if the Sidekicks dispatch Monterrey they will have to beat Hidalgo on their home field to advance to the final four.

Dallas enters the playoffs on a real roll winners of eight in a row in which they have averaged over ten goals per win.  The offense has been led by the prolific scoring duo of Nestor Hernandez and Jamie Lovegrove.  Hernandez has notched 33 goals this season while Lovegrove has claimed 26 goals.  On the back end, Dallas has the best keeper in PASL with Sagu.

Get out to Allen this weekend and support the Dallas Sidekicks as they open the 2014 PASL playoffs against Monterrey 7:00 Saturday!
