The Dallas Texans red quickly wrapped their much-awaited showdown with the Baltimore Casa Mia Bays in McGuire Cup action on the opening day of the US Youth Soccer National Championships, scoring twice on goals by Bahram Sajjadi and North Carolina's Billy Dworsky in the first 26 minutes and winning, 2-0.

The Texans are going for their third consecutive national championship. The Bays also have two national titles under their belts from 2003 and 2004. Stephen McCarthy (Santa Clara) and Omar Gonzalez (Maryland) both rejoined the Texans in the last 24 hours from the Pan-American games in Brazil.

Arsenal FC began its quest for its fourth national title in as many years with a 2-1 win over Atlanta Fire United in the U-18 boys division on Wednesday in Frisco, Texas. A minute after United tied the game on a goal by Jonathan Hull, Gerson Mayen scored to give Arsenal the victory.

Real So Cal U-16 boys began their bid for a third straight national championship with a 1-0 win over the FC Delco Hammerheads on a goal by Ernest Balba.

Real So Cal had two penalty kicks that could have given them the lead early in the second half, but both were missed high and wide.

GAME RESULTS:
Under-19 Boys
Dallas Texans Red (TX-N) 2, Baltimore Casa Mia Bays (MD) 0
Goal Scorers: Sajjadi 9, Dworsky 26
