Keller Central and Byron Nelson open with big wins in 5-6A

District play is off and running in District 5-6A boys soccer.  Keller Fossil Ridge and Keller Central both opened with a big road wins while Defending 4A state champions Trophy Club Byron Nelson announced their arrival in 6A with a massacre of Timber Creek.  Denton Guyer also opened their 6A account with a nice win over Keller.

Keller Central 2  Denton Ryan 1
Evan Ripic scored twice for Central and Josh Starkey saved a penalty kick to preserve the 2-1 road win for Keller Central.  After falling behind 2-0 Denton Ryan tried to rally back, but was unable to find the tying goal.

Denton Guyer 2 Keller 0
Guyer got off to a fast start in their new district as they took care of Keller 2-0 on goals from Billy Buford and Chris Lopez.  Andrew Singer notched the shutout in goal for Guyer who look to be a real factor in the District 5-6A soccer race.

Keller Fossil Ridge 4 Northwest 0
Fossil got their district season started in grand fashion as they routed Northwest.  Patrick Nuss led the attack with a pair of goals while DJ Trutza and Chris Dokupil each scored in the victory.

Keller Timber Creek 0 Byron Nelson 5
Both Erick Suarez and Francisco Sainz scored a pair of goals as the defending 4A State Champions opened district play in grand fashion.  Dallas McGrew had a goal and assist on the night.
