Matchday 11 is in the books and things are starting to shake out a bit as far as the playoff picture is concerned.  The top four all won last night giving a clear view of positioning heading into the final three district matches.

It looks like a two team race at the top, but do not count out Keller who have gone unbeaten in their last eight district games.  They have closed to within only two points of Central and three from Byron Nelson.  The Indians also have the softest schedule of the remaining top three with only Denton Ryan, Fossil Ridge and Northwest left to play.  Meanwhile, Byron Nelson must travel to Keller Central next week.  If Keller can win out they might be able to force themselves further up than current third.

Fossil Ridge won a huge game last night beating Denton Ryan and now sit alone in the final playoff position.  They still have major work to do though with both Central and Byron on the schedule still.

Byron Nelson 3 Northwest 0
The district leaders took care of business against the last place squad last night winning comfortably 3-0.  They'll have to earn their district title though as tough games with Central and Fossil lie ahead.

Keller Central 4  Denton Guyer 3
The Chargers just slip by once again.  Two narrow wins over the bottom two this week don't exactly inspire confidence going into the stretch run.  Everything is still to play for though, but a leaky defense needs fixing.

Keller 2 Timber Creek 0
Nobody in the district is hotter than the Indians who are slowly reeling in Central and Byron.  A favorable schedule gives them hope of moving up, but they look comfortable for no worse than the three seed.

Fossil Ridge 2 Denton Ryan 0
A huge win for Fossil who continue to surprise.  Goals from Patrick Nuss and Noah Powell provided the margin of victory as Ryan lose a match they absolutely needed to get a result in.

District 5-6A Standings
Byron Nelson     8-1-2   18   +20
Fossil Central     8-2-1  17   +12
Keller HS             6-2-3   15   +4
Fossil Ridge       5-5-1  11    +5
Denton Ryan      3-5-3   9   -4
Timber Creek     2-5-4   8   -8
Denton Guyer     4-7-0   8   -10
Northwest           0-9-2   2   -23
