FC Dallas laid another egg at home tonite as they couldnt beat the worst team in the entire MLS on their home field losing 1-0. Colorado has claimed a grand total of 5 points of an available 33 this seaon on the road before beating FC Dallas. I'm sorry but if you can't beat the worst team in the league on your home field, you dont need to even think about the playoffs anymore this year. With both teams desperately needing a win to stay entrenched in the playoff picture, Mike Petke got the game's only goal to lead the Colorado Rapids to a 1-0 victory against FC Dallas on MLS Primetime Thursday at Pizza Hut Park. Petke rose up completely unmarked at the edge of the six-yard box to head home a well-placed corner from Terry Cooke into the far side of the net for the eventual game-winner. After the Petke goal, the Rapids pulled off a forward and went into a shell for the remainder of the game. They were very lucky to not give up a couple of goals in the last 20 minutes as they looked like a last place team. The only thing worse was the FC Dallas finishing as they missed 3 clear chances from within 10 yards.
