To say it was an FC Dallas weekend at the 2014 North Texas State Cup would be an understatement.  FC Dallas have clearly taken over North Texas soccer tossing the once dominant Dallas Texans to the sidelines winning titles at four of the eight age groups.  FC Dallas won titles at the oldest three age group as well.  Solar claimed three titles at the younger ages.  The only independent to win were Wizards at the 01 age as they battled an all independent final against Sporting.  Dallas Texans only had a single team among the 16 finalists today.

FC Dallas Premier 1  Dallas Pumas 0
The cinderella run of Dallas Pumas ended with a valiant effort in the finals.  Pumas finished 9th in D1 this year and will be dropping to D2 next fall, but it did not stop them from making an eye-opening run through State Cup.  They were unable to overcome the defending North Texas champions though falling to FC Dallas Premier 98 on a penalty kick.

Solar Red 2 Dallas Texans South 0
Solar Red 99 continued their dominance as they rolled to another State Cup championship beating Dallas Texans South 2-0.

Wizards 1  Sporting United 0
The Wizards won the title with a goal late in the 2nd overtime after a scoreless match.

Solar Red 5  Liverpool 0
This was a flat out blowout.  Liverpool unfortunately just didn't show up and run over by the talented Solar Red squad.  The 6th place side from D1 did make a good run though, upsetting FC Dallas Premier in the semifinals.  Solar Red ran through the tournament without allowing a single goal and posting an impressive 13-0 goal differential.

Solar Chelsea 4 FC Dallas Youth 1
Solar rolled through the North Texas State Cup throwing down a 27-2 thumping of the opponents they beat.
