FC Dallas and Colorado tie

It wasn't the result they were looking for in the end, but FC Dallas ran their unbeaten streak to a record 19 matches with a 2-2 draw against Colorado at Pizza Hut Park Saturday evening.  FCD really needed a win to keep pace with Real Salt Lake and the LA Galaxy.  The draw leaves them six points behind LA and two behind RSL with only two matches left to play.

Colorado jumped out early to the surprise of the home crowd taking the lead in the 13th minute of play when Jeff Larentowicz notched the first of his two goals on the night.  Larentowicz knocked home a loose ball in the Dallas penalty area.

FC Dallas struck right back though as they scored twice before the end of the first half to take a 2-1 lead into the locker room.  Milton Rodriguez answered with his fifth goal of the year, giving him a goal in three straight games. The sequence started when Ferreira fed Heath Pearce, who was dashing up the right side. Pearce then delivered a nice cross to Atiba Harris, who headed the ball off the left side of the crossbar and the rebound fell to Rodriguez who tucked it away.  Minutes later FCD had the lead as David Ferreira finished off a nice give and go.  Colorado would find the equalizer just after halftime though as Larentowicz scored his second goal of the match.
