FC Dallas rolls over Real Salt Lake 3-0

FC Dallas put forth one of their most complete efforts of the season as they rolled to a 3-0 road win over Real Salt Lake Saturday evening. It was all FC Dallas from the start as they built a quick 2-0 lead behind goals from Jeff Cunningham and David Ferreira. Dave van den Bergh assisted on both goals to give him a career high 10 assists on the season. The two goals were nice, but it was the defense that was the story on the night posting a rare shutout. It was a nice surprise from a unit that has leaked goals all year long. Dario Sala recorded six saves on the night. The final goal came in the 87th minute and it was Cunningham once again. After Ferreira got him the ball, the veteran scorer hit a rocket from the top of the RSL arc, a shot which rattled off the left post and into the back of the net. The two goals give Jeff Cunningham 15 on the season and move him into a tie for the MLS lead with Conor Casey of Colorado.
