The semifinals are set for the 2013 Gold Cup and four of the big boys will be in Arlington Wednesday to play at the massive Dallas Cowboys Stadium.  The United States and Mexico will bring out monster crowds expected to be over 80,000.

The opening match of the doubleheader will feature the red hot United States who have been rolling through the tournament scoring a whopping 16 goals while only allowing 3.  Yesterday they destroyed El Salvador 5-1 with flair.  Add local star Omar Gonzalez to the lineup and the US are solid favorites against Honduras.

Honduras slipped past rivals Costa Rica in a physical game yesterday in a rainy Baltimore.  Young Andy Najar notched the winner just after halftime.  Just how much trouble Honduras can give the Americans is to be seen.

The late game will feature Mexico who are playing better, but still not up to par at all.  They have been leaving it late and slipping past inferior opponents in the Gold Cup, but bottom line they are into the semifinals and well alive to win the tourney.  They'll get a huge test from Panama who is the most in-form squad in the tournament outside of the US.  Panama already beat El Tri on opening night and definitely have the firepower to do it again.  Panama will have to overcome what should be a hugely pro-Mexico crowd at Dallas Cowboys Stadium though.

USA v Honduras Wednesday 5:00 CT
Mexico v Panama Wednesday 8:00 CT
