The much anticipated 2011 Gold Cup openers are sold out for Sunday at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.  The doubleheader features a 5:00 match between Costa Rica and Cuba followed by Mexico facing El Salvador.  Both matches are from Group A in which Mexico are clear favorites led by Chicharito, Rafa Marquez and Giovani dos Santos.

The stadium also sold out last time the Gold Cup was played at Cowboys Stadium in 2009, which was the first-ever international sporting event to be played at the new venue.

Fans attending the doubleheader between Costa Rica vs. Cuba and Mexico vs. El Salvador are urged to arrive early to Cowboys Stadium to avoid traffic and long waits, and enjoy Fan Festival, an interactive fan zone featuring live entertainment. The Fan Festival will open at 2 pm local time in parking lot 4 on the east side of the stadium. Fans without tickets are encouraged not to approach the stadium area on game day to avoid unnecessary delays, as tickets will not be on sale.
