District 7-6A roundup - Coppell win again while Haltom solidify playoff spot

The Coppell Cowboys just keep rolling as they blasted lowly LD Bell 6-1 behind a Roberto Arguello hat trick.  Colleyville Heritage kept pace slipping past the ultra-defensive Trinity Trojans.  The win puts big pressure on Southlake who were idle.  The Dragons now trail Heritage by six points in the race for second place.

Crosstown rivals Haltom and Richland battled to a draw last night.  The result hugely favors the Buffalos who continue their hold on the final playoff spot.  Going to be tough for Richland to catch them without grabbing a win over one of the top three now.

Coppell 6  LD Bell 1
The juggernaut just keeps rolling.  LD Bell will be glad to not have to face Coppell again.  They are a whopping -14 in two games against the Cowboys and -4 in their other five district games.

Colleyville Heritage 1  Trinity 0
Jackson Zeledon grabbed the winner against the offensively challenged Trojans.  Trinity running out of time to find some goals as they fall to 6th place.

Haltom and Richland tie

Not a terrible result for Haltom as they stay two points ahead of their rivals for the final playoff spot.  Pressure mounting on the Rebels as only five matches remain.

District 7-6A standings
