Keller made the big move in District 5-6A during matchday 8 as they dispatched slumping Denton Guyer 1-0.  With both leaders Keller Central and Byron Nelson tying against mid-table squads, the Indians were able to close the gap to three points at the top of the table.

Both Central and Byron limped to draws on home soil Friday night.  I guess if you are going to slip up do it on the night when the team you are even with slips up too right?  Important road points for both Timber Creek and Denton Ryan though as they fight for a playoff spot.  Elsewhere, Keller Fossil Ridge stayed in the hunt as well with a solid 3-0 win over bottom feeders Northwest HS.

Keller 1 Denton Guyer 0
The Indians took care of business and gained ground on the leaders in the process.  Guyer, on the other hand, suffered a sixth straight defeat after winning their opening two district matches.  What happened there?

Fossil Ridge 3  Northwest 0
A needed easy win for Fossil as they chase a playoff position.  Big games coming as Timber Creek, Fossil and Denton Ryan battle for 4th.

Keller Central 1 Denton Ryan 1

An early goal from Ryan had Central chasing all night long.  Alex Kimmel levelled for the home side, but they were unable to find the winner.

Timber Creek 2  Byron Nelson 2
Wow BNHS gave up two?  A letdown from the district's best defense and a great road point from Timber Creek
