Keller and Keller Central have shown to be the class of district 5-5A. The real fight is for the 3rd and 4th playoff spots in the tightly packed district. The Keller boys soccer team sits atop the district with a 8-0-2 record followed by Keller Central at 6-1-3. Both look solid in the 1-2 spots heading into the playoffs. The real suspense will come in the fight for the last two playoff positions. All six remaining district foes are still alive for the playoff spots and the last couple of weeks of district should be wild and crazy as they jockey for position. All six teams are within three points of each other. Colleyville Heritage is sitting on 12 points followed by LD Bell on 11. Keller Fossil Ridge and Grapevine have 10 points while Trinity and Northwest have 9. The head to head games remaining should be intensely competetive. LD Bell and Colleyville Heritage face off tonight where Heritage has a prime chance to open a little breathing room in their quest for a playoff spot. Monday night also shows Keller Fossil Ridge in a big game against Grapevine. Both teams are currently tied on 10 points. The loser tonight will find an uphill battle the remainder of the season to get back into the top four.
