FC Dallas star Kenny Cooper is being courted by German Bundesliga giants Eintracht Frankfurt and could leave in the January transfer period.  Cooper has been the main man in the FC Dallas attack and finished 2nd in the MLS scoring race last season.    Rumours have been swirling for almost a year now that the FC Dallas star would be headed for Europe to test his mettle and develop his game.  Last year both Cardiff City of England and Rosenborg of Norway made offers.

Cooper and his family may make a trip to Germany soon for a personal look at the Bundesliga squad and facilities . Bernd Hölzenbein, a former German international who played for Kenny Cooper Sr. in American indoor soccer some years ago, is now a scout for Frankfurt. He was in Colorado last week to see Cooper and speak to the family.

The most likely scenario is that MLS accepts the winter offer, one that could reach almost $4 million. That's not what Jozy Altidore got from Villarreal, but it would represent a handsome sum for MLS.  While that's not the optimum outcome from FC Dallas' perspective, it's not a totally unattractive one. The club could use funds from the transfer acquire a polished veteran forward.  Manager Schellas Hyndman says he is committed to whatever is best for Cooper.
