Local teams in the hunt at Dallas Cup XXX

Several Dallas teams have had a successful opening two matches at Dallas Cup XXX.  Wednesday marks the final day of group matches and we will know the qualifiers for the knockout stages of the tourney beginning on Thursday afternoon.

Under 13 --
Andromeda Red has opened with a pair of draws and will need a win on Wednesday to have any chance of winning Group A.  Southampton FC of England will win the group with a win Wednesday.  FC Dallas has a win and draw thus far and will face San Diego Surf on Wednesday for the group title.  Dallas Texans have won comfortably in both matches.  They'll face Los Angeles Chelsea on Wednesday for the group, but look comfortable for the wildcard even with a loss.  Solar is in trouble in Group F after falling to Celtic of New Jersey Monday.

Under 14 --
CD Independiente is looking comfortable in Group A with two wins thus far.  Solar is in trouble in Group B after losing their opening match 3-1 to Elgin Pumas of Illinois.  The same is true for FC Dallas as they fell yesterday to Concorde Fire of Georgia.  Chivas Dallas will face DeAnza Force for the Group D title on Wednesday while Solar Red will face a similar situation against Los Angeles Chelsea.

Under 15 --
Longhorns are pretty much eliminated frolm being able to advance even though they defeated Olney Rangers from Maryland on Monday.  Tigres has firm control of the group.  Dallas Texans Red is also eliminated as they have lost both games so far.   Solar Red is looking solid in Group C and will face Santa Clara Sporting for advancement on Wednesday.  Solar's group is wide open and they'll need a win Wednesday against Los Angeles Chelsea.    The Dallas Texans U16 Academy is comfortable in Group F and should advance even with a loss on Wednesday.  TFC opened with a 2-0 loss to Chicago Magic.

Under 16 --
DFW Tejanos have been eliminated after falling in two close one goal losses.  FC Dallas is also out after gaining a draw from their two matches.   Dallas Texans look comfortable to advance from Group D after two solid wins. Andromeda has two draws in their opening two matches in Group E.

Under 17 --
Dallas Texans West will need a win on Wednesday against Placer United of California to have a chance to advance after a win and a loss in their openers.  FC Dallas is out of Group B after two losses as is Dalals Texans Red in Group C and TFC in Group D.   The Andromeda U16 Academy and the FC Dallas Academy squads both have won two matches thus far and look to advance on Wednesday.   AYSES Gold have lost both matches and are out of Group H while Solar Academy is on the verge of elimination with only a point in Group G.

Under 19 --
North Texas Strikers look solid in Group A after two wins while Solar will need to beat NV Fusion on Wednesday to win Group B.  Dallas Texans Academy have two wins thus far and will face Houston Dynamo Academy on Wednesday for the group title.   AYSES also have two wins and will face Shattuck St Marys on Wednesday to decide Group D.  Solar has two shutout wins in Group E and will play Miami FC tomorrow while FC Dallas Academy has Group G won.  Texas Lightning Black has been outclassed in Group F with two shutout losses thus far.
