North Texas fans will once again be treated to some wonderful international soccer this summer as Dallas is set to host a six team tournament in July at the Cotton Bowl and Toyota Stadium.  Professional sides representing five countries will be gathering for preseason training and the tournament.

Swansea arrive from the English Premier League coming off another successful campaign.  With two matches remaining in the season the Swans sit 8th place only a single point behind Southampton and two points behind Tottenham for 6th position.  Very impressive.  Swansea features Iceland star Gylfi Sigurdsson as well as Lukasz Fabianski in goal and stud defender Ashley Williams.

Two professional teams from Mexico will join Swansea in the competition.  Chivas Guadalajara and Pachuca are confirmed.  The popular LIGA MX teams should draw huge crowds in all their matches.  Both teams finished in the top 8 of the 2015 Clausara.

A pair of European teams will also make the trip across the Atlantic as Olympique Lyonnais from France and Malaga of Spain attend.  Malaga are in 7th place in La Liga and feature Mexico National Team goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa in net.  Olympique Lyonnais (also known as Lyon) had a wonderful year in Ligue 1 in France finishing 2nd behind winners Paris St Germain.  Striker Alexandre Lacazette leads the entire French league in scoring with 27 goals this year. The 23 year old Lacazette has already made six appearances with the full France National Team.  Lyon and Lacazette will once again be playing Champions League soccer next fall.

Rounding out the six team field is Raja Casablance from Morroco.  Do not overlook this team.  They are a power on the African Continent.  Raja made quite a showing at the 2013 Club World Cup where they defeated CF Monterrey in the quarterfinals before falling in the championship match to Bayern Munich.

The schedule and stadium draws has yet to take place, but with both venues local it should not matter which matches the soccer fan wants to see.  It should be a great week of soccer here in Dallas as the six teams prepare for the 2015 fall soccer season.
