Mansfield boys off to hot start

The Mansfield boys soccer team expected to be good this year, just as in years past.  Just maybe not quite SO good roght off the bat.  The team is 5-0 on the young season and has yet to even give up a goal. 

You might think they have played a soft schedule, but that is not the case at all.  Mansfield has taken out some quality opponents.  They defeated a good Keller Central team, have won at Grapevine and have also beaten rival Mansfield Legacy among their five wins. 

Coach John Fazekas said about the team, "They're excited about it..  They're excited about working at it to keep the streak alive as long as possible."

The hot start has definitely been built around the defense as the team has only scored six goals in their five victories.  Winning 1-0 games puts alot of pressure on the backline, but so far Mansfield has shown they are up for the challenge.

Next up for Mansfield is a difficult road test at Granbury. District opens on January 26th with a showdown against Arlington Sam Houston.
