McKinney Boyd has been the class of the difficult District 10-5A soccer battles all season long and Tuesday they wrapped up the district title with a 3-1 win over rivals McKinney.  Andrew Smith, Hayden Uhl and Trey Marchino notched the goals in the victory.

On Tuesday the three district matches went exactly according to form as the higher placed team won their games.  Plano West took the #2 playoff seed for the district as they slipped past crosstown rivals Plano East 3-2.  Cole LeClair knocked home a Steven Dang cross to provide the winner for West.  It ended a frustrating season for Plano East who suffered five losses in district by a single goal each.

Plano HS jumped up to the #3 spot as they dispatched Allen 2-1.  Reece Schattle was the hero scoring both goals in the win.  The victory bumped McKinney down to the #4 seed.

The opening round of the playoffs should be wonderful as district 10-5A matches up with district 9-5A that contains powerful Lake Highlands and Dallas Jesuit.  The two squads are ranked in the top 10 by the Dallas Morning News.  Richardson Pearce is also very solid out of the district.
