Another treat for local soccer enthusiasts has just been announced.  Mexico is coming back to play in North Texas as El Tri will face world powers Argentina on Tuesday night September 8th at Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.  All five times Mexico have played at Dallas Cowboys Stadium it has been a complete sellout.  With the two time World Cup champions Argentina as the opponent the sixth appearance should also command a monster crowd!  This will be the first meeting between the two sides since the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

With the game scheduled on a FIFA international date, both countries are expected to bring their top stars. Mexico and Argentina feature some of the biggest names in the sport. The South American side boasts global icons like FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano, Manchester City’s Sergio Agüero and Manchester United’s Ángel Di María.  El Tricolor’s arsenal includes Real Madrid’s Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández, PSV Eindhoven’s Andrés Guardado and Villarreal’s Giovanni dos Santos. Mexico and Argentina will look to launch their preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, as well as the 2016 Centennial Copa America, which will be played in the United States in the summer of 2016.
