Mexico releases roster for Brazil match at Dallas Cowboys Stadium

Mexican National Team Head Coach Jose Manuel “Chepo” de la Torre has released the roster for their game in Arlington against Brazil.  Mexico is playing a three game 2012 US Tour May 27 to June 3 in preparation for the opening of 2014 World Cup qualifying.

The roster features experienced players with European experience. The powerful squad announced by De la Torre includes players from Mexico’s two Primera Division Clausura 2012 finalists, Santos Laguna and Monterrey.

El Tri’s” full roster includes the heralded Manchester United star forward Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, Deportivo La Coruña midfielder Andres Guardado, Tottenham midfielder Giovani Dos Santos and NY Red Bulls defender Rafa Márquez.

Mexico's match with Brazil in Arlington caps the U.S. tour on June 3. El Tri has already played two matches at Cowboys Stadium, drawing 82,252 for the 2009 Gold Cup and 80,108 for last year's Gold Cup.

Defenders: Rafa Márquez (NY Red Bulls), Héctor Moreno (Espanyol de Barcelona), Francisco Javier Rodríguez (Club VfB Stuttgart), Hugo Ayala (Tigres), Carlos Salcido (Tigres); Jorge Torres Nilo (Tigres); Israel Jimenez (Tigres); Severo Meza (Monterrey)

Midfielders: Andrés Guardado (Deportivo La Coruña), Pablo Barrera (Real Zaragoza), Jesús Zavala (Monterrey), Gerardo Lugo (Morelia); Luis Ernesto Perez (Monterrey); Jesus Molina (America); Angel Reyna (Monterrey); Edgar Andrade (America)
