Midlothian withstood a furious rally by Colleyville Heritage to advance via shootout on Monday night in Irving.  Midlothian raced out to a 2-0 lead in the opening half putting Colleyville Heritage on their heels from the opening whistle. A penalty kick and a direct freekick from Leevi Schwartz provided the 2-0 Midlothian lead.

Credit to Colleyville Heritage though as they rallied back in impressive fashion.   Jaden Karing fired a rebound shot past Ridgeway to make it 2-1 in the 37th minute just before halftime and Heritage had hope. The goal breathed life into the team and in the 46th minute the match was tied when Adam Kemp headed home a corner kick.

It looked like Colleyville would race on to the win, but that was not to be.  The match tightened up from there and neither team was able to score again through regulation and overtime. It went to a shootout where Colleyville missed on all five attempts. Midlothian's Leevi Schwartz was the hero as he scored the lone shootout goal leading Midlothian to the victory.
