The FC Dallas U18 Academy squad will be playing for the national championship on Friday after they won their group with a dominating 4-1 win over Weston FC on Wednesday.  Weston FC put up a good fight early, but the class of Dallas eventually won out.  The opener came in the 28th minute when Bryan Leyva sent a perfectly timed ball to Danny Garcia, who scored from the left side, lifting the ball to the upper right corner

Jonathan Top made it 2-0 before the half and the rout was on.  Leyva and Flavio Guzman would add goals in the 2nd half for Dallas.  The win vaulted FC Dallas to 7 points and clear of 2nd place Baltimore Bays who drew 1-1 with CASL.

FC Dallas will face Pateadores of California in the championship match which will be televised on ESPNU.  Pateadores ended even with Dallas Texans both on 7 points with a +4 goal differential.  Pateadores won the group based on the goals scored of 6 while Dallas Texans notched 5 in group play.  The Texans will play CASL in the 3rd place match.

The Dallas Texans closed out group play in dominating fashion just as FC Dallas did as they trounced New York Red Bulls 3-0.  Brandon Perez put the Texans ahead after only 2 minutes and they never looked back from there.  Aaron Simmons and Caleb Richardson added goals in the match.
