Dallas area soccer fans are in for a real treat this weekend as the 2008 NCAA Mens College Cup will be at Pizza Hut Park with the semifinals on Friday and the championship on Sunday afternoon.  Wake Forest, Maryland, North Carolina and St Johns have earned places in the final four.

#1 ranked Wake Forest has been dominant all year only losing once in 25 matches.  Dallas youth star Corben Bone leads Wake in assists for the year.  Two other ACC teams also earned their way in as Maryland and North Carolina will be in Dallas.  Maryland is 21-3-0 on the year and has been ranked in the top 3 consistently all year long.  Dallas product Omar Gonzalez anchors the Maryland defense.  North Carolina has been surging of late and sit at 14-7-1 on the year.  They feature former Dallas players Cameron Brown and David Rodriguez.  The only non-ACC squad to make the College Cup is St Johns who defeated Indiana in overtime 3-2 in the quarterfinals.

Wake Forest will take on North Carolina in Friday's first semifinal at 4:30 at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco.  The 2nd semifinal is scheduled for 7:00 and has St Johns playing Maryland.  The championship match is scheduled for noon on Sunday.
