North Texas Cleans up at Southern Regionals

North Texas teams dominated the medal stand as they claimed titles at 8 ages of the 2008 Southern Regionals.  The winners will now represent Region III at the National Championsjips next month in Arkansas.

U14 Girls -
D'Feeters 94 pulled the upset and took out State Cup champs Solar Red 94 in penalty kicks as the match finished 0-0 after overtime.

U15 Girls -
Lonestar of South Texas defeated D'Feeters 93 by a 2-0 score in the final.

U16 Girls  -
Sting Royal 92 won a penalty kick shootout with South Texas rival TSC Challenge 92.

U17 Girls -
 Dallas Texans won a tight 1-0 contest over FC Dallas 91 girls.

U18 Girls -
Sting 90 defeated Oklahoma rival Edmond SC 4-2 in a match which took overtime to decide a winner.

U19 Girls -
Sting 89 did not advance as Challenge 89 from South Texas took the title.

U14 Boys -
SCSA Gold of North Carolina took the championship over Concorde Fire.  SCSA eliminateed Dallas Texans 94 in the semifinal.

U15 Boys -
Dallas Texans 93 won the championship as they took out home side CASL Elite 2-1 in the final.

U16 Boys -
Triangle Gold of North Carolina finished as the champs defeating Lonestar 92 of Austin in the final.

U17 Boys -
Andromeda 91 took the title with a 2-0 win over CASL Elite in the final.

U18 Boys -
Andromeda 90 will get to defend their national title as they beat North Atlanta Elite 2-0.

U19 Boys -
Solar 89 earned another trip to nationals as they knocked off Triangle Navy of North Carolina 2-0 in the championship match.
