Several North Texas sides have advanced to the semifinal round at the Region III Southern Regionals in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Despite oppressive heat that has sent several players and referees to the hospital the tournament has slugged along.

In the Under 14 age group both Dallas Classic League squads are alive and well and heading for  possible showdown in the finals.  Both FC Dallas 96 and Solar 96 won their quarterfinal matches today by 1-0 scores.  FC Dallas defeated West Pines United of Florida while Solar took out CASL.  FC Dallas faces Charlotte SC in the semifinals while Solar plays a though Lonestar squad frolm Austin.

The Under 15 age group was not nearly as successful as Dallas Texans 95 were knocked out in the group stages without winning a match and Solar Red fell to Concorde Fire of Georgia 2-0 in the quarterfinals.

Classic League champions Solar Red 94 are into the semifinal round after defeating Tulsa SC 3-1 in the quarters behind goals from Ryan Condotta, Adam Bonville and Karl De Zoeten.  They'll face a tough Concorde Fire team in the next round of play.  Dallas Texans 94 were knocked out in group play losing all three matches.

Only the 93 DFW Tejanos represented North Texas at the U17 age and they went quietly losing all three matches they played without scoring a single goal. The same held true at the U18 age group as AYSES Gold 92 went out in group play managing a win to go along with two losses.  They won their opener and looked poised to advance, but then were blown out 0-3 and  0-5 in their final two games.

Andromeda 91 cruised through group play at the U19 age winning all three games they played and winning Group A with a perfect 8-0 goal differential.
