The U18 and U19 boys and girls representing North Texas have fared well so far at the 2009 Southern Regionals with six out of nine squads advancing from group play.

In U18 boys play, Dallas Texans 91 Group B in second place nipping Real Salt Lake Florida on goal differential.  They'll face Eclipse from Oklahoma in the quarterfinals after Eclipse cruised through Group A only giving up one goal.  Andromeda crashed out in disappointing fashion losing all three matches and not even scoring a goal.

The U19 boys saw a local matchup on day 1 between Dallas Texans 90 and Solar 91.  The Texans won a tight match 3-2 but then proceeded to draw their final two games.  Meanwhile, Solar cruised to two impressive victories to snatch the group title and advance.  Dallas Texans 90 ended up losing the wildcard to Houston Texans.   Solar 91 will face NASA Elite from Georgia in the semifinals.

In U18 girls play both North Texas squad advanced to quarterfinal play.  Sting 91 took Group C blasting through all three matches with a whopping 15-1 goal differential.  They'll next face Real Salt Lake Florida in the quarters.  Meanwhile, Dallas Texans had no trouble in Group D taking their three games with a 9-1 differential and matching up with BUSA Elite of Alabama next.  If both Sting and Texans win they'll face off in the semifinals.

The U19 girls saw two of three North Texas girls teams advance to semifinal action.  D'Feeters 90 won Group C on goal differential over Hillsborough County from Florida.  Sting 90 did the same in Group A winning on goals allowed over Tophat Gold of Georgia.  Sting and D'Feeters face off in the semifinals.   The Dallas Texans were eliminated after losing to both Hillsborough County and D'Feeters.
