Cal South was on display Saturday at the Cotton Bowl as Pateadores claimed titles at the two youngest Dallas Cup ages.

It was an all California final at the U13 age as Pateardores faced off against FC Golden State.  It was the second big title match between the two of the year as they faced off for the Surf Cup title last fall.  Just as at Surf Cup it was Pateadores on the winning end as they fought off a late challenge to beat FC Golden State 3-2.

Pateadores raced out to a 2-0 halftime lead, but FC Golden State were not about to roll over.  FC Golden State got goals from Jesus Hernandez and Alexis Pinon to tie the game 2-2.  Pateadores were not going to be denied the title though and they grabbed the lead back just minutes later as Alejandro Barrera scored the winner.

The u14s must have been watching the U13 final as they made a dramatic rally of their own in the Dallas Cup title match.  Monterrey Rayados from Mexico raced out to the 2-0 lead and looked comfortable, but Pateadores were set to fight back.

Marcelo Aguirre and Jose Macias scored to send the game to overtime where neither side was able to score.  Pateadores knocked home all five of the penalties in the shootout to claim the second title of the day for the SoCal club.
