It has been a winter of change for FC Dallas and on Wednesday that change waqs even more evident as Pizza Hut pulled their sponsorship. Pizza Hut Park is no more. FCD is now actively looking for a new sponsorship deal. Until then the stadium and surrounding fields will be known as FC Dallas Stadium. Ugh.
Pizza Hut, as the company has recently shown with some of its other venue agreements, has shifted its sports marketing philosophy and will no longer be our naming rights partner,” FC Dallas said in a statement. “We are actively searching for a new naming rights partner for the stadium and are in discussions with several interested companies.”
The 6 year old stadium has served as FC Dallas’ home since they relocated from the Cotton Bowl in Fair Park Dallas. The 20,500-capacity venue served as host for MLS Cup 2005 and 2006.
