Plano fell behind Brownsville Lopez early, but rallied for a 3-1 win and the school's sixth state soccer title Saturday in Georgetown. Brownsville Lopez jumped out to an early lead on a goal in the 12th minute from Jorge Cantu, but Plano would answer only a minute later though as Joe Denton scored to get the match back even. The big goal came just before halftime as Tim Williams knocked home a pass from Ryan McDuff to give Plano a 2-1 halftime lead and all the momemtum. Zach Balthazar would put the match out of reach as he scored to make it 3-1 in the 2nd half and send Plano on their way to a record sixth Texas state soccer title. The Wildcats won three straight championships from 1991-93 and added titles in 1995 and 2000.
