FC Dallas kicks off the MLS playoffs with a home and home total goals series with the Colorado Rapids. Fresh off winning the Western Conference FC Dallas travels to Colorado to take on the 4th place Rapids on Saturday October 21st.. The game will be televised by Fox Soccer Channel. The two teams return to Dallas for the return leg the next weekend at Pizza Hut Park.

FC Dallas and Colorado have met 4 times this year with FC Dallas winning 3 and the 4th match ending in a draw. The offense has come easily for Dallas as the team scored 9 goals in the 4 games. Colorados defense will have to step up to have any chance in the series.

Who will man the FC Dallas nets? Dario Sala has started 28 games this season but an injury has let veteran Trinidad international Shaka Hislop slide into the starting spot the last 4 games. Sala should be healthy for the playoffs so it will be interesting to see who coach Colin Clarke chooses.

If FC Dallas wins the semifinal series they will host the Western Conference Championship game.
