Sam Houston brought a potent offense and a district title into their match Tuesday at Fort Worth Nolan against Paschal and the offense was on display early.  Sam Houston peppered the Paschal net early and often racing out to a 3-0 halftime lead behind a pair of goals from Fernando Arreguin.

The second half was much much different though as Paschal threw everything at Sam Houston.  It was all Paschal and even though Sam had a comfortable lead they were clearly rattled.  Ruud Boijseaneau got a goal back for Paschal after Sam Houston botched a pass back to their goalkeeper and just minutes later Ethan Nichols grabbed another making it 4-2.

Paschal continued to attack and narrowly missed a couple of more chances as Cody Stratton crushed a 30 yards shot off the crossbar.  Finally in the final minutes Sam Houston were able to put the match away as they grabbed a pair of late goals on counter attacks to win 6-2 in a highly entertaining match.

Sam Houston advances to take on El Paso Bel Air on Friday in Midland.
