FC Dallas continued their strong run with a solid 1-0 victory over the New England Revolution Wednesday night at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.  Once again Jeff Cunningham provided the offense as his goal in the 71st minute broke the scoreless tie and would stand up as the winner.  On the goal Atiba  Harris fed the ball to an overlapping Jair Benitez on the left flank and the Colombian defender sent a great cross into the Revolution box.  Cunningham dove and fired a header inside the near post from about eight yards out for the 35th game winning goal of his career.

Suddenly FC Dallas has decided they can play some defense as that marks two consecutive shutouts. Dallas now sits on 33 points only four points out of the final MLS playoff spot.  New England must recover and head to Colorado for an important match on Saturday.   FC Dallas next faces San Jose next Wednesday on the west coast.
