FC Dallas continued their late season playoff push with another win.  This time Colorado was the victim as FC Dallas won 2-1 at Pizza Hut Park Saturday.   It was win or nothing for The Hoops Saturday and the name of the game was defenders and set pieces.  Both FC Dallas goals came off set pieces and were scored by defenders.

The opening goal for FC Dallas came in just the 4th minute when Dave van den Bergh swung in a free kick from outside the box.  George John rose and headed the ball into the Rapids net for the lead.  The second goal came off a Dax McCarty free kick that found Ugo Ihemelu on the backpost after being flicked on by Atiba Harris.   Ugo Ihemelu put the ball on frame where it deflected off the keeper, the right post and into the goal.

Colorado would draw one back late but FC Dallas held on for the important 2-1 victory.  With Seattle clinching a MLS playoff berth earlier in the day it left FC Dallas vying for the last berth with one match left.  FC Dallas is in a battle with Toronto, New England, DC United and Colorado for the spot which will make for a fascinating final MLS weekend.  FC Dallas must win in Seattle to have a chance.
