FC Dallas continues roll beating Kansas City

FC Dallas continued their run of winning play by beating Kansas City at Pizza Hut Park Saturday evening on a wet pitch.  Thunderstorms rolled through Frisco pregame and made for a quick field.  FC Dallas came out on the front foot and Kansas City was barely able to get any possession across midfield the opening 20 minutes of play.  Unfortunately, FC Dallas were unable to cash in on all the attack time.  The Wizards tried to get into the match a little, but the first half was all FC Dallas and mostly one way traffic.

FC Dallas came out for the second half determined to go find a goal.  Dallas was finally able to break through when David Ferreira was pulled down in the penalty area.  It was a very questionable call as Ferreira was leaning back to try for an overhead kick and was offbalance.  Kansas City were furious with the call, but a penalty was awarded.

David Ferreira stepped up and clamly finished the spotkick.  FC Dallas were on their way.  Goalkeeper Kevin Hartman was called into action later in the second half as he had to come out to stone Graham Zusi from close range.  Hartman also had to leap to handle a deflected freekick to complete his shutout and close the FC Dallas win.

FC Dallas continues to move up the MLS Western Conference standings.  The win moves Dallas past Colorado and into 3rd place.  Next up is a tough roadtrip to face Seattle.
